The Threshold

It is a well known fact that each of us at some point has to find their molting place, go there, and unearth their own magical self. Some of us charge in with vigor and bravery at a young age, maybe before we are even ready. Some of us hold out, letting ourselves make our way through life with our magic untapped and unusable until the last possible moment.

For you, the day has finally come. You may have found yourself here suddenly, wishing that you had prepared. You may have awoken today ready for the trial, your bags carefully packed for the journey. You may have arrived here tired and resigned, knowing that you just couldn’t make it any further with the way things were. We all make it to the threshold in our own way, in our own time, for our own reasons.

Regardless, you have arrived. Today is your rite.

The Threshold is a journaling game about finding your own magic. You can use it to explore a fictional character or to explore your own psyche. It is designed as a journey of self-discovery and self-empowerment.

This is a beta version of the game. It is currently finished except for putting in the art and laying it out for online vs print play. The finished game will be playable as either a editable PDF form or a printable game booklet with card assets.

If you download this beta version for free, please take the time to play it and let me know what your experience is like. Once the art is done, I will post an update to twitter letting the world know that the final copy is available.
